How do I list my first vehicle on Otto?



⚠️ Prerequisite: To list your vehicle on Otto, the vehicle must have valid insurance for car rentals and a valid certificate of roadworthiness. These will ensure that your car passes Otto’s review. 


To list your car you will need to follow this process:

📱 Login to the Otto app

Login to the Otto app and navigate to the fleet tab in the app.


You will see the Add Vehicle button which you can click to start listing your car.

🆔 Insurance Setup

We’ll ask you to upload proof of valid commercial insurance as well as other insurance details. See guide on handling damage fees here.


💰 Set up the Vehicle Pricing

In this step you will be adding how you want to price your vehicle, which includes:

  • Setting the amount you want to get for renting out your vehicle
  • Setting the amount a renter will be paying incase of damage (i.e. the portion of your insurance excess you are passing off to the renter)


🏎️ Provide Basic Vehicle Details

Here you will be setting the specific details of you car including the make, model, number of seats, license/number plate e.t.c.



📻 Features/Extras

From the available list select all features/extras that are available with your car. Please select only those that are available with your car. 


📸 Vehicle Photos

In this step you will be adding good quality photos of your vehicle. These will be:

  • 4 exterior photos of the - Front, Left, Right and Read
  • 2 interior photos of the - Front  (view of the dashboard including the passengers side) and Rear Interior (view or the rear interior of the car -ideally taken from the front seat)

🗓️ Vehicle Availability

This is the final step where you will be able to:

  • Block/unblock dates where you want you car to available or unavailable for booking. 
  • You will also be adding the maximum and minimum days for which the a renter can rent out the vehicle.
